Excited about new jammies!

These pics aren't super-recent but I thought they were some "must-sees". We are enjoying summer and trying to make the most of it. We spent Canada Day at the zoo, (and then mom had to go to work. ) Dad is doing great at work but is a little sick right now. Athletes That Care is on a bit of a break for the summer now that school is out, and it is a good thing cause mom was working daddy to death. Mom and dad seem to have the shift work balancing act down to a science, and one of them is always with us. I have been busy trying to to teach Micah stuff, and I can often be heard testing him on his colors and then praising and encouraging him.

Mom wants to share some "Elijah-isms" with you...

They other day Elijah was in time out. I went to talk to him and he proceeded to inform me that my choices weren't good ones. "Time outs don't make me listen they make me angry, and spanks don't make me listen they make me sad..."

After some serious inquiries about his genitalia I relented and tried explaining the testes and penis to Elijah. Later in the day he asked me for some licorice. I was confused because the boys don't usually get candy, and I have never given them licorice. Elijah explained to me that I had mentioned that when he gets older his testes will have "licorice in them". (I had said liquid)

Needless to say we are keeping momma and daddy laughing...
